This Reverse Sear Lamb Chops recipe makes a delicious and healthy gourmet meal, that can be made in a few simple steps. If you eat meat for protein, Steak and Lamb Chops are the easiest to cook. And saves so much time and money even when you buy the most delicious organic, grass-fed, and all-natural pasture-raised kind. Ever since I purchased this Lodge Cast Iron Skillet, I use the reverse sear method of cooking quite a lot, at least every time I make a steak or chops.

What is Reverse Sear Method of Cooking?

Traditionally, I am sure you have been told to sear or brown the meat first and then finish in the Oven, or Pressure Cooker or Slow Cooker. In the case of Pressure Cooking, or Slow Cooking, I tend to follow that advice.

However, if I have to roast meats, I prefer to marinate the meat, and roast it in the oven first and then finish on the hot Cast Iron Pan. Try it once and you will know why.

One of the greatest experiments you can do in life is to ask this question – What if you did the exact opposite of the normal – this one time? That is how you find new, delicious, amazing things, places, inventions, and discoveries.

Ingredients to use for 4 Servings of Reverse Sear Lamb Chops

Everything is really Optional, except the Lamb, Squeeze of Lemon Juice, Salt and Pepper. But, what is Life without Herbs and Spices? So stock them up and use them for taste and good health!

  • Lamb Loin Chops – 4
  • Olive Oil – 2 Tbsp
  • Juice of 1 Lemon
  • Meat Tenderizer – 1 tbsp (or about 3 tbsp of fresh raw papaya minced) – (Totally Optional)
  • Fresh garlic (finely minced) – 2 tbsp
  • Fresh ginger (grated) – 2 tbsp
  • Fresh Rosemary (finely chopped) – 1 tbsp
  • Fresh Thyme (finely chopped) – 1 tbsp
  • Fresh Sage (finely chopped) – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – 1 tsp Or to taste.
  • Black Pepper – 1 tsp
  • Cayenne Pepper – 1/2 tsp

For Searing:

I go all out when I have a good set of Lamb Chops. So I did end up using about 2 Tbsp Ghee, A sprig of fresh Rosemary from my neighbor’s kitchen garden, and some fresh garlic Cloves to Sear in the end. 

Method to cook Reverse Sear Lamb Chops

  • In a flat tray or large mixing bowl, mix all of the Ingredients and apply on the Lamb Chops.
  • Marinate it for at least 2 hours. (Or if meal prepping. Marinate in batches and leave in the freezer. Thaw in the morning or night before if you want to use for later.)
  • Preheat Oven to 275 F and place the chops in a large pan and bake for about 30-45 minutes until the internal temperature reaches about 125 F (If you fancy). I was looking for Medium Rare and this is about what gets me that!
  • Let it rest for about 15-20 minutes so the juices run clear.

Finally the moment of truth. This is how you Reverse Sear Lamb Chops.

Heat that ghee on Lodge Cast Iron Pan on high heat. Add the rosemary and garlic to the pan. Now one by one quickly sear the lamb chops to brown on all sides. (Pictured above is when I used my grill pan to do the sear.) It should take about 1-2 minutes per chop to sear it.

While this last “Reverse Sear” step seems complicated, but you will be surprised how it locks in the flavor of the meat and takes the taste up a notch. Like a fancy Gourmet Chef Meal!

Serving Suggestions:

Serve with a side of Sheet Pan Roasted Veggies.

Or On top of an Arugula-Raspberry Salad topped with some balsamic vinaigrette.

Summer is almost here so I wanted to take a minute to write about the amazing Health Benefits of Watermelon. Watermelon is a juicy and delicious summer snack that is a good source of vitamin A and lycopene. Watermelon is 92% Water. Duh! that’s how it got its name. Its sweet water in a huge ball and perfection to combat the summer heat. I am sure you have been told by your various “Diets” that you cannot eat watermelon and lose weight. I call them out to prove it.

Have they gained weight from eating watermelon? not likely!

Why should you eat more watermelon this summer?

Besides the fact that it is delicious, and an extremely healthy substitute for Soda and Coffee and any other means of hydration. Watermelon is rich in this magic Antioxidant called “lycopene”. Lycopene is what gives watermelon its pink color. For reference, Lycopene is also present in tomato, and pink guava, etc. According to this study, Lycopene in the watermelon helps prevent cancer, cardiovascular disorders, diabetes, and eye diseases.  Lycopene helps reduce insulin growth factor and hence prevents cancer.

We are usually not hungry, but we are chronically dehydrated. If you do not like water, make sure you snack on watermelons. And watch the hunger, as well as dehydration, go away. Cut it up in fun shapes, or blend it up in a cool refreshing drink. It tastes great as is, do whatever fancies your eyes and taste buds.

What makes watermelon good for me besides the water and lycopene?

Watermelons come from the same family of fruits as cucumbers, gourds, squash, and pumpkins.  According to this study, 100 g serving of watermelon is 30 kcal if you are counting.

Watermelon is good for hydration. It contains about 92 % water and 7.55 % of carbohydrates out of which 6.2 % are sugars and 0.4 % dietary fiber. Delicious Hydration that is. No better way to Substitute Water, if you ask me.

Watermelon is good for your eyes. The real magical superpowers of watermelon are in its micronutrients, vitamin C, citrulline, carotenoids and flavonoids. It is rich in Beta-carotene (an antioxidant that is good for eyes) and a precursor of vitamin A.

Oh did I say Watermelon is fat and cholesterol-free – if you are into diets and calorie counting.

Watermelon is rich in Vit B1. B6, and Magnesium and Potassium.

Anti Cancer Properties of WaterMelon. According to one study, Cucurbitacin in watermelon has antitumor, anti-inflammatory, and hepatoprotective properties.

Conclusion:

So the point is when watermelon is in season and your grocery store has large bins of watermelon out. Do not get Intimidated. Buy them. Cut them up in various geometrical shapes – squares, rectangles, spheres, cubes, or fries (Is fries a geometrical shape?). Dress them up with lemon, or mint, or both.

Dont want to eat Watermelon? Cut it into random shapes and blend it in a large blender jar with some ice cubes and berries to drink it straight up. Freeze them and Blend to make a delicious Watermelon Slushie.

TLDR; Eat the Watermelon to stay hydrated, live longer and healthier.

You make them ahead of time by mixing the ingredients in a personal size Ziploc bag, or large Ziploc bags if making for 2 or 4. OK, before you start bashing me for being the turtle killer, These re-usable bags or mason jars will work too for storing the smoothie meal prep mix.

If you have never eaten much fruit or vegetable, this is the easiest way of getting them in. Get the Ingredients you want on a weekend and prep them in a reusable bag and freeze. Weekday mornings will be a breeze. Blend. Pour, Done. And Look at these. They are so Beautiful and Fancy as well!

​What Ingredients do I need in an Energizing Morning Smoothie?

So, If you are like me – I dont even make Smoothie meal prep bags. I throw in a handful of this, a tad bit of that and my Essential Ingredients.

Here are some pick and choose, whatever you fancy any week type ingredients. Either Use Any seasonal fruits or vegetables. Or if short of time to go shop, Get some big bags of Frozen Mixed Berries, Pineapples, Mint, Oranges, Avocados, A milk alternative such as Almond milk (if you like your consistency thinner.)

Essential Ingredients – What goes in Every Smoothie?

And here are some Ingredients that I always add – 8-10 Fresh mint leaves, a handful of mixed greens, peel half a Lemon and throw that in, an inch of ginger, 1/2 tsp of Ceylon Cinnamon powder. Pinch of Salt, Pepper, Cayenne pepper. – Most of these ingredients help you burn fat and provide countless other health benefits.

On many occasions, I also add chia seeds, flax seeds, and/or a protein powder like Orgain if I am looking for an extra boost of protein.

If I feel aches and pains coming along (I have Scoliosis, so aches and pains are a given.) I add half a banana or pitted dates for added phosphorus content.

Your body will pretty much tell you what you need in that glass of green goodness.

How do you make your Smoothie?

Peel those Oranges and Lemons, You might want to leave a little bit of zest in, it actually has nutrition and tastes good. Wash the greens and herbs. As you wash and peel the ingredients, either send them in your meal prep bags if preparing for later. If using immediately straight away put it in the blender jar. Once all ingredients are in your blender, Blend and Pour. If you have the Fancy Vitamix or Blendtec, it’s perfect. Put it to use finally. Or a super simple Oster or any high-speed blender will do too. I have an even simpler 14 Speed Oster Blender and that makes perfect smoothies too.

Beside the time saving, why should I drink smoothie in the morning?

Smoothie is a delicious, fancy and healthy alternative to a Standard American Breakfast of pancakes and muffin. Even if you are a coffee or tea drinker in the morning, temporarily try to switch to a Morning Smoothie with the right ingredients and you will notice a positive change in your energy levels and it will help combat the fatigue and mid-morning slump almost immediately.

If your diet has been mostly meat-based and unhealthy processed carbs and sugars, and you deal with acidity and other digestive issues, the added fruits and vegetables and the essential ingredients I mentioned, will make you feel healthier and you will have an energetic workday almost immediately. I am sure you can go full extreme – alkaline diet or do a detox or may have already done it. But like I said many times before, you do not have to do extreme of anything at all. Everything in moderation is perfect. And a glass of smoothie in the morning every now and then is just the right thing, to begin with.

How do you get your kids to drink a Smoothie?

My kids eat most of their fruits and vegetables. But Since kids are picky I told them that a green smoothie is a Hulk Juice. It makes you Strong like Hulk 🙂 And they Love it. Sometimes I just tell them I did not make it for them and all of the Hulk Juice is mine and they want to borrow a few sips of mine too.

These Ezekiel bread toasts are all the craze lately, for a good reason. Way too many people have gluten and other food and chemical sensitivities. There are many variations of these bread too – Ancient Grain Bread, Sprouted Grain Bread, and Whole Grain Bread. With some good variations – Sesame, cinnamon raisin, 7-grains, 21- grains, muffins, and bagels. Anywho, go to the freezer section of your local supermarket and you will find one or many of these. Pick one up to try. It is good for you.

​What do you do with frozen Ezekiel bread?

I just thaw it while doing this or that in the kitchen and then toast with a tsp of butter on a hot pan for about half a minute on each side. Easy Peasy.

Usually I would top it with Avocado and Fried Eggs. Or Black Beans and Fried Eggs. But there are nearly infinite possibilities.

Would I like the Ezekiel Bread Toast?

​Exactly How Many Kinds of these bread do I not know about?

​I am sure there are many more. But I pick up a new one every time I see one in the Freezer section. Also, I always have bread in my freezer for this reason.

Why do I need this bread?

Well. You do not. But if you are addicted to bread, and absolutely can not give up (the chemicals they load up the) white bread with, you want to give this bread a try. It is made with mostly non-GMO and organic ingredients. It also uses high Glycemic Index grains, and hence good for diabetics. I personally definitely feel full longer, and I am sure it’s the extra fiber.

Compare the Ingredients and Nutrition label of this with a White or Whole wheat bread too. And you will know what I am talking about.

Besides – this lasts a long time in the freezer, so it is super convenient. You almost never have to buy breakfast as long as you have some Peanut Butter in fridge and Ezekiel bread in the freezer. I am not a PBJ fan so I have personally tried it, but I bet it will taste just as good. If you try, do let me know.

Although I love my Indian Chai Latte, I also have a stash of herbal teas around the kitchen. I found my stash this morning and made a green tea + hibiscus tea to enjoy on this snowy winter morning. This is why I wanted to write this post to share the amazing effects of Hibiscus Teas on managing Blood Pressure.

What does hibiscus tea do?

Traditionally Hibiscus Teas were used for good digestion, detox, and also as an anti-inflammatory. However the most important benefit of the hibiscus tea is its effect on Blood Pressure. Of course along with healthy eating and better lifestyle choices.

These two studies 1, 2 demonstrate that consuming 2 cups of unsweetened hibiscus tea every day can be effective in managing blood pressure along with lifestyle and dietary modification – decrease sodium, increase potassium, eat your vegetables!


Why should I drink this tea if I can manage my blood pressure with medication?

First, read the medical disclaimer above. Now, Everyone, including doctors and the pharmaceutical companies that manufacture the drugs know the side effects of the drugs. If you have to take the drug once or for a limited time and be done with it, it is another thing. However, being reliant on a drug (or many drugs) for a lifetime has become a norm these days. Would be nice if Food is the Medicine. Isn’t it?

Beside the efficacy of the Blood Pressure lowering medications have forever been in question. One study suggested that only half of the people that take the medication are able to manage it by medication alone. They have to get on the DASH diet and become more active and exercise to manage blood pressure.

So you are telling me there are no side effects of Hibiscus Tea?

So, I have not has any personally. But my research tells me that hibiscus tea is a diuretic (hence the use for detox). This just means drink a lot of water if you chose to drink hibiscus tea. Excessive consumption could give you acid reflux or diarrhea as well.

As with anything else, drink responsibly (ha!), use in moderation. Also, Do not stop taking your medicines if you indeed have a hypertension diagnosis, or slacking with your diet and lifestyle.


Exactly why do I care about my blood pressure?

Good blood pressure control can prevent heart attacks and heart failures. Hypertension is also known to cause kidney disorders as well. This is definitely one of those conditions, that goes undiagnosed and untreated for a majority of people that are healthy and never visit doctors. It is important to do yearly physicals with your Primary Care Doctor as well, even if you drink your 2 cups of hibiscus tea a day.


What hibiscus tea should I drink and How to make it?

This is the hibiscus tea I drink. But You can pretty much pick any from the herbal teas section of your favorite supermarket.

I make it according to the package directions. Boil water in a cup, add the teabag, and drink it up straight.

It is slightly sour but I like it that way. If you find it too Sour, Probably add it to extra water. Will make you drink more water.

Search for Turmeric on the internet, and all you find is Anti Inflammatory, Anti Cancer, Anti Aging, Anti Alzheimers, Anti Dementia, Anti Depression, Anti Arthritis ..and very much so for all the right reasons. Read on to learn more about the Health Benefits of Turmeric and Pepper in fighting diseases and inflammation. Mainly Turmeric, but you will soon find out eating Turmeric by itself does not make a difference. You have to be adding Black Pepper along with Turmeric in your food in order to actually absorb the healthy compounds in Turmeric into your body.

If you reading any recipe around here, It is always loaded with Benefits of Turmeric and Black Pepper along with a selection of other spices. I will talk about other spices, another day. But the Turmeric deserves a whole entire post on its own.

I am not even entirely sure how much of the claimed health benefits are true, but given the popularity of Turmeric and the way it is marketed these days in the supplement form in tablets and capsules. I bet we have a winner here! Hey, Dr. Google said so.

“Natural” Health supplements are not held to the same high standards as a drug or vaccine. So anyone can put Turmeric and Pepper in a capsule and start selling them as the next wonderdrug.

I would not recommend buying Turmeric and Pepper in the Supplement form, nor sprinkling it up on your Salads raw either.

Turmeric used as a “Spice” in Food Preparation.

As a rule of thumb, If you cook any food that is savory, while you put Salt and Pepper to it. Add the Turmeric as well. That should set you for a long, healthy, and pain and inflammation free life! The only other thing you need to remember is to always use Black Pepper and Turmeric together benefits, as Pepper increases the absorption of Turmeric in your body. Read the science here.

Start with adding it to your Omelette or Soups and Stews, to begin with, to know the benefits of Turmeric and pepper. About a tsp is enough for 4-6 servings. Try this Thai Soup recipe or this Lentil Soup or my absolute favorite Okra Stir Fry recipe.


Turmeric as a Beauty Ritual – Face/Body Mask

I do not personally use this, because I have no time. But if you have time, or if you can make time and find the ingredients, make “Ubtan” – Fresh Turmeric root paste is also applied as a full-body mask (or a face mask when you are in rush) mixed along with chickpea flour, sandalwood powder, and Rosewater. I have probably done this once, ok maybe twice in my life.


What gives Turmeric its Super Powers?

Turmeric contains a compound called Curcumin. Curcumin is what gives Turmeric its exciting and powerful anti-inflammatory properties. Curcumin is a polyphenol.

Polyphenol is a fancy name for micronutrients that naturally occur in plants. Your body needs these in smaller quantities (hence “micro” in the name).

Benefits of Turmeric and Pepper

  • Anti Oxidant
  • Anti Inflammatory – Inflammation has been identified to be a contributing factor to various modern diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD), Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, cerebral injury, cardiovascular disease, metabolic syndrome, cancer, allergy, asthma, bronchitis, colitis, arthritis, renal ischemia, psoriasis, diabetes, obesity, depression, fatigue – to name a few. Curcumin present in Turmeric is known to suppress inflammation through multiple mechanisms, hence it is effective against these diseases.
  • Prevents Arthritis: Arthritis is a chronic joint condition that causes severely decreased quality of life by limiting mobility due to extreme joint pain. Besides being anti-inflammatory, Turmeric is also an analgesic (reduces pain) that helps manage arthritis pain. The study above shows that 8-12 weeks of consuming Turmeric helped reduce the arthritis symptoms in subjects.
  • Metabolic Syndrome – Several common diseases related to Obesity, Diabetes, Elevated Bad Cholesterol. And Low Good Cholesterol are also caused by Inflammation. Curcumin in Turmeric improves insulin sensitivity, helps reduce blood pressure, and elevate good cholesterol. Indirectly one of the factors contributing to Obesity is also low-grade inflammation. Consuming Turmeric regularly in your diet reduces inflammation and is helpful if you are trying to eat healthy in general to lose weight.
  • Anti Cancer – A separate elaborate study confirmed that Curcumin in Turmeric has anticancer effects. The study can be found here.
  • Finally, Turmeric also helps manage exercise-induced inflammation and muscle soreness. Thus enhancing recovery and subsequent performance of inactive people. In addition, a relatively low dose can provide health benefits for people that do not have diagnosed health conditions.

Recommendations

Again, I would not recommend adding a Turmeric Supplementation in the form of a pill. But definitely try to cook your stir fry, chili, soups. And marinate meats with Turmeric, Pepper (and other spices). And try to remain healthy and live a little longer for those you love and care about!


I am sure, most of you reading this, have either ordered the fancy-schmancy Golden Milk Latte at a coffee shop or watched a celebrity influencer drink it up on their social media. I say, Hype, Much. Stick to eating Turmeric with food. DRINK ONLY WATER!

Easiest Lentil Recipe with Immune-Boosting Spices

If you are a vegan this Lentil Recipe is for you. Lentils are probably the best source of Protein and Super Easy to cook. Easier if you have an Instant Pot or another kind of Pressure Cooker.

This Lentil Recipe uses lots of herbs and spices for taste and health benefits. This is what you will find in this corner of interwebs anyway!


Here are the choices of Lentils that are available easily in an Asian or Indian grocery store. And these days probably in most walmart, costco and Amazon and other organic markets as well. Here are some I cook quite frequently.

Split Pigeon Peas or Toor Daal

Yellow Mung Beans or Mung Daal – These are available with skin off or on. You can make the daal out of either.

Red Lentils


Ingredients and Cooking Method for Lentil:

For 4 Servings

Put all of the below ingredients into Instant Pot and cook for 20 minutes on High Pressure.

2 cups of lentils, 1 cup of chopped onion, 1 cup of chopped tomatoes, 3-4 fresh garlic cloves minced, about 1 Tbsp grated ginger, 1 tsp turmeric, 2-3 green chilly peppers, choice of vegetables such as zucchini, eggplant, cauliflower. cabbage – about 1 cup. Extra cayenne pepper or paprika if you are into eating spicy. 4-5 cups of water.

Check in about 40 minutes or so, Open the Pot. Add more water if desired, and heat on Saute mode for 5 minutes.

Tempering a lentil soup, in the end, makes a world of difference. Here are the ingredients for tempering. Use 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp mustard, a pinch of asafoetida, and about 3 Tbsp of butter or ghee for tempering in the end

Take a small pan. and heat 3 Tbsp of ghee and add the rest of the ingredients for tempering. let cook for about 30 seconds, until brown, and add into the lentil soup and mix.

Garnish with Cilantro for extra deliciousness.

Eat like a soup, or serve over steamed rice if you are not counting the carbs. This all is a Lentil Lentil Recipe

curried scramble eggs

Curried Scrambled Eggs

You can take your scrambled eggs to a whole another level by adding some amazing weight loss spices such as paprika, turmeric, Asafoetida, green chilly peppers, and other vegetables!

Important: Do not worry about all of the “extra” ingredients for the curry flavor. Try to make it with whatever you have in your pantry and refrigerator. It is a super-forgiving recipe.

Ingredients:

[Serves 4]

  1. Eggs – 8 Large or 12 Medium
  2. Onion, chopped – 2 cup
  3. Bell Pepper chopped – 1 cup (use green/yellow pepper or any other sweet pepper you can find)
  4. Other choices of veggies from the approved vegetable list – 1/2 cup (I used a handful of fresh green peas and spring onions today)
  5. Tomato, chopped – 1 cup
  6. Cilantro or Coriander, chopped – 1/2 cup for garnish
  7. 2-3 Green chili, chopped long and thin (optional if you don’t like spicy, skip this)
  8. Tempering Spices | Pinch of Asafoetida, Cumin Seeds: 1 tsp, Mustard Seeds: 1/2 tsp, Nigella Seeds 1 tsp
  9. Salt – to taste
  10. Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
  11. Black pepper powder – 1/4 tsp
  12. Cayenne pepper or red pepper powder- 1 tsp (optional)
  13. Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp (optional)
  14. Olive Oil (or alternate Ghee or coconut Oil) – 1 tbs
Method:
  1. Break the eggs into a bowl and beat them with salt and black pepper and set them aside.
  2. Heat Olive oil over medium-high heat in your largest non-stick pan.
  3. Once the oil has warmed up, add the tempering spices, immediately followed by onion green peas, green chilies, and tomatoes (or other choices of veggies).
  4. Fry until onions are browned. Then, add salt, turmeric powder, cayenne pepper, and coriander powder.
  5. Mix well and add the eggs mixture and stir and cook for about 3-5 minutes while stirring and letting the egg cook through and scramble
  6. Add spring onion and cilantro, mix well, and turn off the heat.
  7. Serve immediately with a side of whole-grain bread, whole-grain tortilla, or use for lettuce wraps!
  8. Make extra to pack in your meal prep boxes for later.

Pictured below is a version I made the other day with lots of colorful vegetables and it turned out great as a complete one-pot weight loss meal!

Slimming Morning Drink

If there is just one thing you must do to lose weight i would say this would be it.

​This is such an amazing, refreshing and wonderful drink that not only wakes you up early morning but also helps kickstart your metabolism to burn those fat cells that you are struggling to get rid of.

Are you able to make this early morning and drink it up.

All the ingredients are carefully chosen to get you an additional boost to whatever diet you are following on your weightloss journey.

Before starting this drink, remember to weigh yourself.

And then weigh again after a week to see if it boosted your weightloss, or helped you break the stall.

​Ingredients:

  • ​Juice from 1 Lime or Lemon

  • ​A 8 Oz. Glass of Filtered water

  • ​1/2  tsp Cumin Powder

  • ​1/2  tsp Black Salt (or sea salt, rock salt)

  • ​1/4  tsp Cayenne Pepper

  • ​1 to 2 Tbsp Honey 

  • ​(​Optional) few mint leaves

​Method

  • 1

    ​Warm Water in microwave for 1 minute

  • 2

    ​Crush few mint leaves in a herb mill or a mortar and pestle and add to the warm water

    ​Add Lime/Lemon juice, Cumin powder, Black Salt, Cayenne Pepper and Honey and stir well

  • 4

    ​Drink Immediately upon waking up first thing in the morning

Chia Pudding

Breakfast, Breakfast Idea, Ramadan, Sehri, suhoor, Suhur, Weightloss

​Chia Seeds Pudding (Serving Size: 4)

​This Chia Seeds Pudding is the easiest breakfast you could ever make, especially if you are a Mom on the go.

You can double or triple the quantities as you like.

​Ingredients:

  • ​Almond Milk (OR Coconut Milk) 2 cups

  • ​Chia Seeds 1/2 cups

  • ​Honey (optional) - 2 Tbsp

  • ​Ceylon Cinnamon Powder - 1 tsp

  • ​Cardamom Powder - 1/4 tsp

  • ​Clove powder - 1/4 tsp

  • ​Chopped Pecans/Chopped Soaked Almonds/Chopped berries for topping

​Instructions:

  • 1

    ​Pour Almond milk, Chia Seeds and Honey into a jar or glass container and Stir well.

  • 2

    ​Place in the refrigerator overnight to gel.

  • 3

    ​In the morning when you are ready to eat, add the Ceylon cinnamon powder, cardamom powder and clove powder and mix well.

  • 4

    ​Serve in a bowl or a mason jar topped with nuts and berries of your choice.

Mix-n-match suggestion: Also a good serving suggestion is to also eat 2 hard boiled eggs with this, for getting your Protein serving.

​Notes:

​This is definitely a great make ahead recipe.

Prepare it the night before and you will not have to worry about morning breakfast.

Quickly throw in the spices and the nuts and you are ready to go.

Even better, pair it up with boiled eggs for an extra dose of proteins for making it a perfect balanced meal.

And finally do not forget to drink a lot of water all day!
