​Here is the best make-ahead breakfast recipe for a healthy start to your day.

It really takes 15-minute to put together and you could pair this with whole wheat /whole grain Tortillas, Rotis or Flatbreads.

  • ​Olive Oil: 2 Tbsp
  • ​Asafoetida: 1 pinch
  • ​Cumin seeds: 1/4 tbsp
  • ​Onion, finely chopped : 3 cups
  • ​Tomatoes, finely chopped: 1 cup
  • ​Jalapeno or Serrano pepper (green pepper), deseeded and finely chopped 1/4 cup *
  • ​Turmeric powder: 1 tsp
  • ​​Salt: To taste
  • ​Cayenne pepper: To taste (1/8 tsp) *
  • ​Black pepper: To Taste (or 1/4 tsp) *
  • ​Cilantro, washed and finely chopped: 1/2 cup
  • ​Eggs, whisk in a bowl: 4 Large or 6 medium

​* if you do not like spicy food you can reduce the quantity, but trust me if you start using these spices in moderation you will not only love the taste, but if you are looking to boost your weight loss Cayenne and Black Pepper would melt your fat right off your arms and bellies


​Heat oil on the medium-high heat.

Add asafoetida and Cumin seeds.

Add onions, tomatoes, green chili (Jalapeno or Serrano peppers) and salt.

Cookovert medium-high heat and keep stirring until the onion becomes lightly browned.

should take about 10 minutes.

Add turmeric powder, black pepper, and cayenne and mix everything for about 30 seconds, taking care not to burn the onions and spices.

Add the whisked eggs and gently stir till the egg forms a scramble.

Turn the heat off and add cilantro for garnish and mix everything well and serve with low carb flatbread, roti or tortillas.
