Ahh, the food! Thy Name is Love. Much Ado About Chocolates, Cakes, Pastries, and Sugar. I still do not get the point of Valentine’s Day or Any-Day. But if you are into this kind of hum-drum, Here is A Healthy Valentines Day Breakfast Spread for you and a loved one.
Well, actually with this breakfast, so easy You can live like every day is Valentine’s day.
Breakfast Smoothies

Smoothies are the easiest to prepare and so pretty to look at. Mixed Berry Frozen Bag from your grocery store, add in half a peeled lemon, mint, small piece of ginger, salt, pepper, some chia seeds, a pinch of cayenne pepper Blend, pour into the drink glasses, and Serve.
All you need for making a Smoothie is a Powerful Blender. If you are up for it, get a Vitamix or Blendtec. But I own an Old Oster like this one and it is still going strong. I have not find a reason yet to get another one.
Beautiful Chia Pudding Bowls

Soak Chia Seeds Overnight in a Bowl, Preferable use Almond or another nut milk. In the morning top with berries, nuts, granola, a sprinkle of Pumpkin Spice powder, cinnamon powder. Enjoy!
If you are looking for quantity, You need about 2 Tbsp Chia seed per person. On another note, do not forget to sprinkle Chia seeds on your Salads, if you are into eating Salad.
Whole Grain Avocado Toast

Alright. You just cannot go wrong with this healthy breakfast option. Toast a Whole Grain Bread (or Ezekiel bread). Chop Ripe Avocados and Spread on the Toast. Sprinkle Sea Salt, Pepper and Cayenne Pepper. Serve with a side of Eggs.
While you are at it, do not forget to serve that amazing flavored water that I talked about in this post. Hydration Matters: Drink More Water.

And out some elaborate detox water recipes here and here.
To sum it up.
Here is a summary of your Healthy Valentines Day Breakfast. Prepare a beautiful Infused water from any of the options above. Either a Chia Seed Pudding or a Smoothie. And Whole Grain Toast topped with Avocado and Eggs. Easy. Peasy. Hearty. Squeezy.
No Valentines day post is complete without quoting Shakespeare, E. E. Cummings, Rumi, Hafiz, Yeats or Emerson. Today, it is Shakespeare’s turn.
Here is Shakespeare on Love.
In the Twelfth Night. (If you have not read it, you should get a copy for Valentine’s day reading. It’s free on Kindle.). Like with all of Shakespeare’s works, it is brilliant, a complete comical mess. There is a shipwreck, a lost brother, and a woman dressed as a man, who loves a man; the man loves another woman; who in turn loves the woman dressed as a man. Everyone is comically miserable in love. Reminds me I might pick it up again someday to read.
Mean while enjoy this for your Valentines Day Note by Orsino from Twelfth Night!!
Enters Orsino, Duke of Illyria.
If music be the food of love, play on, Give me excess of it; that, surfeiting, The appetite may sicken and so die. That strain again, it had a dying fall; O, it came o’er my ear like the sweet sound That breathes upon a bank of violets, Stealing and giving odour. Enough; no more; ’Tis not so sweet now as it was before. O spirit of love, how quick and fresh art thou, That notwithstanding thy capacity Receiveth as the sea, nought enters there, Of what validity and pitch soever, But falls into abatement and low price Even in a minute! So full of shapes is fancy, That it alone is high fantastical. ~ Orsino, Duke of Illyria. Twelfth Night. William Shakespeare
