​When you end up with imperfect dough, don't worry, make Daal Baati And also a view of balanced-Indian-thali (for those that count their macros) - I eat healthy without counting!

And I did eat 2 out of those 3 Batis


  • ​Whole wheat 1 cup
  • ​Sattu 1 cup

Some spices that I usually powder in my spice grinder like jeera, ajwain .. a little bit of turmeric, red pepper powder, salt, and bit of almond/coconut/flaxseed flour mixed in!!

In most of my flour mixes, I try to reduce the wheat flour and add lower GI flours to make it healthy!


​Take the "imperfect" doughballs and throw them in airfryer for about 10-15 mins at 270F, then brush a thin layer of ghee and cook at 390F for about 2-3 minutes to get that very crispy brown outside and so soft inside!!

***Could be done in your tandoor or electric oven as well if you don't have an Airfryer.

Follow the same method - cook on low temp first, brush some ghee and then cook on highest temp setting for a couple of minutes!!
