​A delicious shrimp curry to satisfy your seafood cravings!

This is a perfectly spiced recipe, full of proteins and vitamins, and a blast of taste.

Try it to savor the unique flavor on your weight loss journey.


  • ​Shrimp, peeled and deveined: 2lb
  • ​Onion, finely chopped: 1 cup
  • ​Ginger grated: 1 Tbsp
  • ​Garlic Grated: 2 Tbsp
  • ​Tomatoes roughly chopped: 2 cups
  • ​Pepper (Jalapeno/Serrano or Thai green peppers) - to taste. (I used 3 Thai green peppers)
  • ​Cilantro finely chopped: ¼ cup

​Spices For Tempering:

  • ​Asafoetida: few pinch
  • ​Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • ​Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • ​Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 tsp

​Spices For Curry:

  • ​Paprika: 1/2 tsp
  • ​Black pepper: 1/2 tsp
  • ​Turmeric: 1/4 tsp
  • ​Coriander powder: 1 tsp
  • ​Dry Coconut grated: 1/4 cup
  • ​Olive Or Coconut oil: 2 Tbsp
  • ​Salt to taste

    ​Set a pan over medium-high heat, add oil and wait for it to become hot.

    ​Add all tempering spices in this order - asafoetida, cumin, mustard, and fenugreek. You should hear the spices splutter and sizzle and leave the most amazing aroma.

    ​Immediately add onion and green pepper followed by ginger, garlic, and tomato. Cook for about 3-5 minutes, stirring well.

    ​Add all the curry spices: paprika, black pepper, turmeric, and coriander powder as well as salt and mix well.

    ​Stir this mixture and cook until everything is mixed well and browned.

    ​Add Shrimp and coconut and keep stirring until the shrimp is cooked through and everything is mixed well. Should take about 5-10 minutes.

    ​Add cilantro and mix well.

    ​Serve with your fresh low carb flatbreads, rotis, or tortillas and enjoy!!
